Like other healthcare organizations, North Florida Regional Medical Center (NFRMC) understands that uniforms in a company can directly affect patient safety and patient satisfaction. Recent changes in the North Florida Regional dress code policy support our efforts to provide a Patient-Centered Care environment with the following:
- Uniformity: Departments have been placed in uniform categories. Each uniform category has specific instructions on what the department can wear (scrub top and bottom color, polos, khakis, etc). For example, New Beginnings was given aqua and brown and was the first department to receive the new uniforms.
- Identity: Our uniform initiative will make it easier for patients and visitors to identify our caregivers.
- Professionalism: We have improved our dress code policy so that all staff will look sharp and professional at all times.
Beginning January 1, 2014, all staff are expected to comply with the new dress code policy.
