North Florida Regional Medical Center (NFRMC) is participating in the authorized Optum VA Community Care program under the Mission Act. As an Optum provider, we invite you to choose NFRMC for your healthcare needs when timely access to specific VA services may not be available.
NFRMC is a fully-accredited healthcare facility with more than 2,700 employees and more than 480 medical providers. We are a 523-bed, acute-care hospital that offers 24/7 Emergency Services at four locations in North Central Florida: our main campus, West End, Millhopper and Starke. Our Starke ER location offers the renowned, high-quality care we provide in Gainesville to those in Starke and Bradford County. Starke ER has also recently expanded its services to include mammography, outpatient radiology, outpatient laboratory and occupational health services to community providers in Bradford County and surrounding communities.
Recently, HCA Healthcare, the parent company of NFRMC, was recognized by Military Times as one of the country's best employers for veterans based on the organization’s military-connected employment programs, benefits and support efforts. The Military Times’ Best for Vets: Employers ranking is a highly-respected analysis of efforts to connect with veterans – internally and externally. At NFRMC, we are proud to currently employ 89 veterans in our community. It is truly an honor to work with individuals who have served our country and are now committed to serving our community through their various roles at North Florida Regional.
