Tallahassee, FL – The HCA North Florida Division has acquired Putnam Community Medical Center (PCMC). Putnam County’s only hospital, which includes a 99-bed acute care facility, becomes the North Florida Division’s 13th hospital.

Putnam Community Medical Center will be part of the Division’s North Central Market; which includes North Florida Regional Medical Center, Lake City Medical Center and Ocala Health. This partnership will allow patients to receive care across the full continuum, shared resources and coordinated services.

“We are excited about bringing Putnam Community Medical Center into HCA’s network of hospitals and providers. We look forward to working with the medical staff and employees to bring enhanced healthcare services to the community and providing access to the most appropriate patient centered care and innovative capabilities in the region, “said Michael P. Joyce, FACHE, President, HCA North Florida Division.

Ben Bates, PCMC’s Board Chairman, add “The Board is excited that Putnam Community Medical Center has been purchased by HCA, the largest hospital network in the United States.
