Gainesville, FL — On Wednesday, May 22, 2019, North Florida Regional Medical Center (NFRMC) will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of their new Internal Medicine Clinic located at 7485 SW 17th Road in Gainesville, Florida. Five attending physicians will lead the efforts at the new clinic and will be assisted by all 60 resident physicians enrolled in NFRMC's Graduate Medical Education Program (GME). The clinic's focus is to provide high-quality healthcare for more than 6,000 internal medicine patients in North Central Florida each year.
North Florida Internal Medicine will provide primary care through the use of integrated medicine to patients 18-years old and older, and will accept most insurance coverage options. A wide variety of common primary care procedures and treatments can be performed here, such as annual preventative and Medicare health checks, general sick visits, hospital follow-up visits, vaccinations, and point-of-care testing for common conditions--- such as diabetes, obesity, high blood pressure, digestive issues, cancer screenings, allergies, pneumonia, and many others. The clinic will offer patients same day appointments as well.
The ribbon cutting ceremony for North Florida Internal Medicine will be held at the clinic property on Wednesday afternoon from 4:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. NFRMC and GME leadership will be addressing attendees and the media during a brief press conference beginning at 4:00 p.m., followed by the ribbon cutting and then tours of the new facility.
