Heart and Vascular Center

The Heart & Vascular Center

North Florida Regional Healthcare is home to The Heart & Vascular Center, a strong and growing cardiovascular program that cares for thousands of patients throughout North Central Florida.

The highest quality cardiovascular care begins with experts who are committed to high quality patient outcomes. At The Heart & Vascular Center of North Florida Regional Healthcare, physicians, nurses and clinical staff are dedicated to providing excellent clinical outcomes in a caring, compassionate manner. North Florida Regional is home to Gainesville’s only accredited Chest Pain Center.

Cardiac Tower Room

The opening of our new South Tower and $62 million Phase IV Expansion means that cardiovascular patients admitted for treatment are cared for in the Heart & Vascular Suite, an area reserved exclusively for cardiovascular patients.  Physicians and hospital leaders believe that, when physicians, nurses and other providers with special training for this group of patients work together side-by-side in a dedicated area, outcomes are enhanced.

And this area on the 2nd floor of the new South Tower is only a part of the same strategy of connecting cardiovascular providers, facilities and patients.  Within The Heart & Vascular Center, areas of care are strategically placed so that they are as close as possible -- surgery rooms, catheterization labs and non-invasive, diagnostic testing – they’ve expanded and, if necessary, relocated for clinical integration.  The goal, always, is quality care for patients.
