Careers at North Florida Regional Medical Center

Pharmacy Management

The pharmacy management team consists of the Pharmacy Director, Pharmacy Operations Manager, Clinical Manager, Pharmacy Technician Supervisor, and the Systems Supervisor. This adaptive and motivated team works collectively to lead the department in maintaining excellent patient care through an innovative practice model.

Clinical Pharmacists

The clinical pharmacist team works collaboratively within the organization to provide optimal pharmacy care in a decentralized, 24-hour environment. Pharmacists provide a multitude of consult services and protocol driven care to achieve positive outcomes within our medication preparation, distribution and administration processes.

Pharmacy Residents

The Pharmacy Resident provides care as an integral part of the NFRMC pharmacy team, with the goal of acquiring broad experiences in the inpatient and outpatient settings to develop clinical and interpersonal skills.

Pharmacy Technicians

The Pharmacy Technician plays a key role in providing excellent service to patients. The Pharmacy Technician at NFRMC assists the department in providing superior clinical care by acting as a liaison to assess and triage the needs of those involved in direct patient care. Some of the daily pharmacy activities of a technician at NFRMC include: compound sterile and nonsterile preparations, delivery and distribution of medications and the maintenance of pharmacy inventory with the use of pharmacy automated dispensing cabinets and automated inventory systems.

Student Pharmacists

The pharmacy department serves as a training site for future pharmacists and healthcare providers.

Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experience (IPPE):

Rising third year professional students spend four weeks on-site to begin to learn about pharmacy practice and how to integrate into the healthcare team. The goal of the IPPE program is to guide and direct student learning towards professional experiences alongside other healthcare professionals.

Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE):

Fourth year professional students complete either 6 month or year long block rotations to learn how to apply didactic knowledge and training to the provision of patient care under the supervision of the NFRMC pharmacists.
